Week 8 (5th to 11th July)

Thursday 6th July

Whoop whoop I dressed myself! Not something major for most 55 year olds, however, in the grand scheme of things a major development as it is quite a while since I did this without feeling totally shattered. It helps that it is the summer, as I only needed to put on 3 items of clothing (briefs, shorts and tee shirt) but it meant I regained some independence as I didn't need to wait for Hilary to do it.

Friday 7th July

Another night without needing to wake up and use the toilet is now becoming normal and is a clear demonstration to me that some of the benefits from Mollii cooking are much longer lasting than originally thought. Able to stand up much easier and balance is pretty good.

Saturday 8th July

Having cooked last night I woke up feeling really good. Stepped outside on my own by holding on to the door frame and leading with the left foot down onto street level. Got into car by myself, shut door by myself and put seatbelt on myself. Repeted process later when we left to go to Derby. Didn't need to use toilet again from leaving home until going to bed. Getting up the stairs was done much easier than during week 2 with Mollii although was disappointed not to be able to go up two levels in one go (i.e from step 1 to step 3). Walked up stairs holding on to banister using both arms rather than 1 hand on banister and other on stair. My son Cian, said "It looks more like a walk than a half crawl, looks a lot more sturdy too. And it was quicker"

Sunday 9th July

Another night without a bathroom visit. Walking down the stairs started off much better, however, with no right hand side banister I ended up bouncing down the stairs on my backside. Nothing else major occured really.

Monday 10th July

The heat and humidity are back which is not good.

Tuesday 11th July

Heat and humidity still playing havoc, however, left leg marginally lower when first getting into office chair..
